On March 15, 2020, the Serbian government introduced a nationwide lockdown to prevent spread of COVID-19. The enforcement measures led changes in daily lives dog owners, which, turn, affected routines their dogs. Therefore, this study aimed investigate effects enforced for control COVID-19 pandemic on pet management. An online questionnaire survey with owners was conducted period from July 15 August 31, 2021. A total 384 older than 18 years participated. comprised 34 questions about owners' demographic information, information dogs, walking and feeding practices, as well behavior before after lockdown. Most were closed-ended option mark one or more proposed responses, while some had add free text predefined "other". also included several open-ended questions. responses participants two different periods (before during lockdown) compared determine interdependence. obtained data indicated that there no notable rise rate adoption purchase. Furthermore, it found decreased frequency walks pets nature fields, choosing instead keep them indoors confine backyard frequently. Some believed dogs became slightly passive nervous response restrictions. No significant practices reported, although minority noted consumed less food but gained small amount weight. Additionally, reported pronounced money they spent food. Overall, collected restrictions limited impact management; however, further research should be performed any long-term effects.
