The primary, most obvious parameter indicating water quality is the color of water. Not only can it be aesthetically disturbing, but also an indicator contamination. Clean, high-quality a valuable, essential asset. Of available technologies for removing dyes, adsorption used method due to its ease use, cost-effectiveness, and high efficiency. process influenced by several parameters, which are basis all laboratories researching optimum conditions. main objective this review provide up-to-date information on studied influencing factors. effects initial dye concentration, pH, adsorbent dosage, particle size temperature illustrated through examples from last five years (2017-2021) research. Moreover, general trends drawn based these findings. removal time ranged 5 min 36 h (E = 100% was achieved within 5-60 min). In addition, nearly 80% efficiency with just 0.05 g adsorbent. It important reduce (with Φ decrease E 8-99%). Among dyes analyzed in paper, Methylene Blue, Congo Red, Malachite Green, Crystal Violet were frequently studied. Our conclusions previously published literature.

Dyes (colorants) are used in many industrial applications, and effluents of several industries contain toxic dyes. exhibit toxicity to humans, aquatic organisms, the environment. Therefore, dyes containing wastewater must be properly treated before discharging surrounding water bodies. Among treatment technologies, adsorption is most preferred technique sequester from Many studies have reported removal using biochar produced different biomass, e.g., algae plant forest, domestic residues, animal waste, sewage sludge, etc. The aim this review provide an overview application as eco-friendly economical adsorbent remove colorants (dyes) aqueous This highlights routes production, such hydrothermal carbonization, pyrolysis, liquefaction. Biochar possesses numerous advantages, being eco-friendly, low-cost, easy use; various precursors available abundance converted into biochar, it also has recyclability potential higher capacity than other conventional adsorbents. From literature review, clear that a vital candidate for with above 80%.

Over the last few years, various industries have released wastewater containing high concentrations of dyes straight into ecological system, which has become a major environmental problem (i.e., soil, groundwater, surface water pollution, etc.). The rapid growth textile created an alarming situation in further deterioration to environment been caused due substances being left treated wastewater, including dyes. application activated carbon recently demonstrated be highly efficient technology terms removing methylene blue (MB) from wastewater. Agricultural waste, as well animal-based and wood products, are excellent sources bio-waste for MB remediation since they extremely efficient, sorption capacities, renewable sources. Despite fact that commercial is favored adsorbent dye elimination, its extensive restricted because comparatively cost, prompted researchers investigate alternative adsorbents non-conventional more economical. goal this review article was critically evaluate accessible information on characteristics bio-waste-derived MB's removal, related parameters influencing performance process. also highlighted processing methods developed previous studies. Regeneration processes, economic challenges, valorization post-sorption materials were discussed. This beneficial understanding recent advances status biowaste-derived adsorbents, highlighting accelerating need development low-cost functioning precursor large-scale system optimization.

Clays and clay minerals are inexpensive, non-toxic, naturally occurring that have been utilized in water remediation as adsorbents. However, clays those modified with heat, surfactants, acids, or organic-inorganic modifiers exhibit low adsorption capacity re-generation ability towards organic pollutants. The development of composites has gained considerable attention recent years due to their enhanced capacity, ease recovery from aqueous solution improved physiochemical properties relative raw minerals. This review aims assess literature on including bentonite, montmorillonite kaolinite intercalated carbonaceous, metals, metal oxides, chitosan polymeric materials appraise performance examines the effect composites' physicochemical evaluates mechanism well regeneration methods. also attempts highlight current progress this area by assessing outcomes recently published articles outline research gaps for future research.
