Rapid industrial development has led to the use of numerous dyes responsible for significant water pollution worldwide. Adsorbents have been developed treat these waters, mainly in form activated biochar, which several advantages, one is its good surface characteristics, such as high area and pore volume. The objective investigation was analyze efficiency removing methylene blue model dye aqueous solutions through adsorption process using biochar chemically from leaf stem hyacinth (Eichhornio crassipes) a bioadsorbent. This study carbonized containing zinc chloride at 600 °C. materials were characterized by different techniques tested their ability adsorb blue. biochars removed approximately 285.71 322.58 mg g−1 dye, respectively, indicating that more leaf. Pseudo-second-order kinetics most suitable describe on biochars, experimental isotherm data fit Langmuir model. It concluded application renewable resource with potential effluent treatment.
