Nowadays, one of the major environmental problems at global level is fact that water polluted by huge loads organic and inorganic compounds, heavy metals (HMs), chemicals produced agricultural, industrial, human activities. The treatment these wastewaters (WW) represents a challenge for many countries. Among various approaches can be adopted to remediate WWs, an environmentally friendly costless option adoption biological technologies such as use microalgae-based technologies, referred phycoremediation. Due nature microalgae are able growth produce biomass exploiting nutrients some compounds found in water. In this way, they reduce concentrations WWs. attractive related photosynthetic microorganisms used multipurpose applications remediation WWs capture carbon dioxide, representing same time useful feedstock exploited food, feed, biodiesel well fertilizers, biopesticides, bio-stimulants agricultural sector. This review will encompass direct utilization microalgal phycoremediation valuable production bio-stimulants, biofertilizers, biopesticides An analysis role played products valid alternative traditional agrochemicals has been discussed.

Abstract Dairy processing industries have emerged as the most swiftly evolving sectors with excessive wastewater generation containing proteins, fat, oils, greases (FOGs), etc. As there is rising strain on energy usage and dependence water resources, sustainable research focuses reduction in developing value‐added goods. An effective widely explored technique for treating phytoremediation, a plant‐based process. This review aims to analyze phytoremediation alternative dairy treatment. It initially briefs about characteristics treatment alternatives discusses constructed wetlands hydroponic system detail mechanism insights influenced process parameters. Interconnected technologies their impact contaminant transformations, nutrient reuse, detoxification of pollutants are encompassed. Also, resource recovery biomass utilization, feedstock enrichment along future prospects integrated systems achieving sustainability efficient featured.
