Mesoporous carbon materials have great potential in energy storage, catalysis and adsorption separation due to their unique pore size distribution, high specific surface area excellent stability. This review discusses the synthesis methods of mesoporous materials. The comparative analysis emphasizes advantages limitations different preparation methods, providing a basis for targeted design properties (high area, electrochemical, thermal stability, etc.) are introduced detail, relationship between physicochemical its electrochemical is discussed, contribution structural regulation performance improvement clarified.
