Abstract Adsorption methods have been widely employed for heavy metal wastewater treatment, yet traditional adsorbents pose challenges in terms of recovery. Magnetic adsorbent materials garnered attention due to their ease recovery and reuse. However, studies on simultaneous adsorption multiple ions are limited. In this study, a magnetic mesoporous calcium silicate (Fe 3 O 4 @MCS) was synthesized via an improved solvothermal chemical precipitation method applied treat simulated containing Pb, Cd, Cr ions. The capability Fe @MCS assessed series batch under range circumstances, including dosage, pH, temperature, oscillation intensity, contact time, initial concentration. results demonstrated that exhibited excellent capacities Cr. Enhancements intensity the performance. After five cycles, removal percentages Pb 2+ , Cd 3+ decreased by 21.48%, 13.56%, 23.54%, respectively. mechanisms were found include surface precipitation, complexation, physical adsorption, ion exchange.
