Abstract An ionic nickel complex was utilized to synthesize an adsorptive mesoporous MFI zeolite membrane for the removal of heavy metal ions from water. The synthesis conditions (synthesis temperature = 185°C, duration 96 h, and molar ratio NaOH silica set 1) resulted in highest content (3.5 wt%) within structure. incorporation into structure requires high energy sufficient time. template used simultaneously incorporates creates a Water permeation tests conducted on demonstrated that 20‐h heat treatment yielded water flux. presence feed solution reduced blocking (water flux declined 40 15 L m −2 h −1 over 1 week) by forming stable complexes with some anions hydrophilic surface modification effect, while reduction occurred 6 absence ions. Analysis ion concentrations indicated functions effectively as membrane.
