The mental health of university students has received much attention due to the various pressures studies, life, and employment. Several studies have confirmed that campus public spaces contain multiple restorative potentials. Yet, space is still not ready meet students’ new need for percetions. Renewal practices integrate multi-issues are becoming more important, further clarification measurement methods optimization pathways also needed. This study applied semantic segmentation technique deep learning model extract feature indicators outdoor based on street view image (SVI) data. subjective evaluation small-scale SVIs was obtained using perceived scale-11 (PRS-11) questionnaire. On this basis, benefit models were established, including explanatory predictive models. used Pearson’s correlation linear regression analysis identify key affecting benefits, XGBoost 1.7.3 algorithm predict scores scale. accessibility results from sDNA then overlayed form a comprehensive assessment matrix restoration benefits dimensions “areas with potential”. In way, three types spatial (LRB-HA, HRB-LA, LRB-LA) sequential orders temporal (short-term, medium-term, long-term) combined propose dual control accessibility. provides methodological guidelines empirical data regeneration promotes efficiency. addition, it can offer positive references neighborhood-scale urban design sustainable development.

Purpose of review The assumption has been made that urbanization adversely affects mental health, primarily attributed to the lack access nature. Our objective is examine whether nature-based interventions can reduce psychopathology within an urban setting. Recent findings Nature-based are generally categorized as either physical or virtual. Physical engage participants in various activities like passive exposure, outdoor swimming, natural environments. On other hand, virtual expose visual, auditory, even olfactory stimuli simulate While most achieved some degree success enhancing overall well being, not all demonstrated a significant reduction depression and anxiety. Summary identified shortage designed implemented interventions. Longitudinal designs provided strongest evidence for reducing anxiety depression. Multisensory also show potential alleviating dwellers. Conversely, brief yielded inconsistent results improving health. Urgent investment high-quality research this domain imperative inform policy enhance health settings.

To evaluate the adverse effects on personal protective equipment (PPE) wearers, this study measured mood state, subjective thermal comfort indicators, health-related reactions and cognitive ability in a precisely controlled climate chamber. Wearing PPE could increase mean total disturbance (TMD) score from −7.45 to −4.4 ( p = 0.008) that would significantly worsen state even cause some symptoms, including high rate of perceived exertion, decreased concentration, sleepiness, fatigue, chest tightness, dizziness, thirst air quality. The wearers be more affected by heat than humidity under comfortable conditions. Increasing activity intensity slightly reduce abilities learning memory (10.8 vs. 9.8, 0026) attention (2.88 2.69, 0.016), but expression (11.2 12.2, 0.028). However, wearing for light intensities did not affect ability. quality showed moderate positive correlation ρ 0.43, < 0.050). findings obtained have increased our understanding associated with thus contributing improved occupational health product

Nowadays, more and people choose to go the traditional villages with beautiful scenery relaxing atmosphere relax relieve stress due unique cultural background environmental of villages, which well met public's aesthetic value landscape environment. Previous research has primarily focuses on villages' history, background, rural land planning, ancient architecture other directions. However, relatively few studies have explored public perception village landscape. Existing are usually limited a single-field study or laboratory study, medium used show remain simple. Therefore, this investigates perceptions space using an experimental approach. It examines how subjects perceive landscapes two-dimensional (2D) displays, three-dimensional (3D) VR five media representing landscapes: real scenes, photographs, videos, 2D panoramas, 3D panoramas. The advantages, limitations, feasibilities various combinations representations analyzed determine optimal methods for evaluation. results demonstrate that combination significantly influences evaluations by affecting subjects' perceptions. degree is highly significant mediating factor. displays 720° panoramas provides best agreement between laboratory-based findings real-world environments, regardless type. This paper summarizes data under media, compares analyzes results, aim provide most suitable reference scheme future in related fields.

Societal trends indicate a decreasing frequency of visits to natural settings and an increasing withdrawal from such environments. Separation environments may lead individuals miss out on the health benefits associated with direct exposure nature, including stress reduction positive mood enhancement. Given these trends, surrogate exposures live nature might comparably reduce are worth exploring. This experimental study contrasts viewing landscape paintings vs. in situ. We used sensor-monitored skin conductance survey instruments 37 older adults who regular museum visitors measure individual recovery improvements indicators for each treatment, outdoor park indoor paintings, conducted during museum-based educational programme May 2022 Northeastern USA. Difference-in-difference analyses data identified comparable statistical magnitude following both types. However, significantly lower average levels physiological arousal as measured by were observed among viewers (α = 0.126 α 1.172 gallery viewing). Regression analysis comparing slopes rates change calming events revealed faster rate (β -0.217 β -0.066 park). Findings this research could be relevant populations without access or disinclined go outdoors offering alternatives first-person contact that enhance affect viewing.
