Several studies have reported farmers’ perceptions of climate change, but there is inadequate knowledge available on the farm households’ change awareness (CCA) in Pakistan. This study was undertaken to assess CCA. For this purpose, collected data from southern and central Punjab, Pakistan, through a purposively multistage random sampling technique. Binary logit odds ratio were used analyse data. The analysis shows that majority respondents aware had differing change. research showed 70.8% farmers are their level winter summer rainfall temperature, growing season length (GSL) crops, sea rise, causes changes conceptual understanding it while persistently denying However, many did not perceive decreasing (48%) (31.2%) precipitation, could GSL (63.2%) (64.4%) few notice increased (36.4%) (33.6%) respectively. Financial non-financial factors such as education (1.16), experience (1.07), distance markets non-agricultural income (2.83), access agricultural credit (0.29) marketing produce (6.10), extension services (3.87) number adaptation strategies (1.30) pointedly related These values parenthesis show likelihood CCA increases/decreases these determinants increase. Moreover, results significant predictor Main opted for by include changing crop variety type, planting dates, tree plantation, increasing/changing fertilizer, soil water conservation, off-farm diversification. Diffuse water pollution from agriculture (DWPA) is a major environmental issue worldwide causing eutrophication, human health problems, increased treatment costs and reducing the recreational potential of bodies. In addition to penalties provision incentives, policy efforts are increasingly focusing on raising land managers’ awareness regarding diffuse under expectation that this would influence behaviours thus increase uptake best management practices would, in turn, improve quality. Given multimillion financial investments these awareness-focused approaches, good understanding awareness–behavioural change–water quality pathway critical set basis for assessing real interventions. We systematically review evidence across full drawing published peer-reviewed papers both social natural sciences, with focus Europe North America. Results indicate there no one study looks at full, evidencing paucity research topic. For limited studies different components pathway, we find mixed relationship between behaviour, behavioural change Furthermore, complexity within (e.g., through factors mediating moderating such relationships) has hardly been addressed by literature. An in-depth analysis complexity—through an integrative model covering entire pathway—could help design implementation effective strategies encourage ultimately

Confronting the reality of climate change requires accessible and effective resources to drive coordinated efforts against its detrimental impacts. Among potential solutions, public interest in tree planting emerges as a cost-effective multifaceted strategy combat change. This study specifically explores integration spiritual leaders into coping mechanisms through plantation initiatives. Conducted applying mixed qualitative quantitative approach, employed survey-based design, focusing on followers Pakistan, where such hold significant influence. A total 180 were interviewed face-to-face data analyzed using descriptive statistics summarise responses collected Likert scale, commonly used social measurement tool. Despite absence explicit communications from their leader regarding planting, respondents exhibited remarkable willingness plant substantial number trees advice leaders. indicates vast for raising awareness about encouraging influence leaders, although various challenges remain. Still, integrating these action plans could channel toward climate-resilient activities.

In Benin’s lowland rice fields, water resources are vulnerable to nitrogen pollution due shallow tables, nutrient runoff, and inappropriate fertilization practices. This study assessed farmers’ soil practices their perceptions of risks. Data from 176 farmers were analyzed using descriptive statistics, logit, tree regression. The results revealed that applied an average 79.4 ± 1.55 kg N ha−1 (53 urea (46% N) 26.4 NPK), exceeding the recommended rate 60 ha−1. excess was overapplication by 75% farmers, who it at 115.2 2.59 instead 75 Only 16% adopted pro-environmental Farmers trained in risks familiar with fertilizer policies 36 times more likely adopt sustainable Downstream less eight such over 10 years experience 17 understand watershed network. Despite 60.8% reporting eutrophication 72.2% noticing quality decline, only 34.1% linked use pollution. Tree regression analysis indicated 78% untrained unaware environmental impacts poor fertilization. These findings underscore need integrate specific concepts on management resource into training programs for Benin, while also improving knowledge transfer mechanism.

Securing the provision of environmental public goods from agriculture is central to addressing critical challenge ensuring global food security while halting ecosystem degradation. Agri-environment schemes (AES) are considered have a key role play in supporting transition more sustainable ways producing food. Existing evidence suggests that farmers generally willing enrol AES for delivery features, but robust policy support requires further exploration land managers' preferences and how these interplay with contract features achieve higher targets. We undertook discrete choice experiment managers post-Brexit UK, what can be 'benchmark' sample younger AES-inclined managers. This provides window into future UK farming landscape, also, given revision European Union's Common Agricultural Policy other international discussions, it also insights new widely. Our results suggest (such type of) likely receptive result-based, collaborative landscape-wide interventions alignment net zero agendas. These could done exchange levels compensation similar current levels. While this raises promise, our emphasize challenges, particularly attract those less AES-prone Payments probably need remain close ones (not lower), farmers' awareness net-zero agendas reinforced interaction between makers will needed.
