Abstract Given that much of water resource pollution is behavioural in nature, understanding pro-environmental behaviour as well the complex determinants such behaviours key to designing effective policies aimed at addressing problem. The limited studies attempt explore topic rely typically on first-generation statistical procedures, often failing address complexities behaviour. We apply conditional process modelling investigate potential mitigating pollution—using an extended attitude-behaviour-context model. Results show knowledge sources has effect attitude towards resources management. Additionally, situational factors—such availability waste collection bins—influence relation pollution. These findings suggest need deepen awareness and consider factors policy design implementation.

Rural women in developing nations are especially vulnerable to higher health risks due environmental pollution exposure and more likely experience poorer outcomes. Using data from the 2013 China General Social Survey CGSS2013, this study empirically examined relationship among knowledge (EK), pollution, investment (i.e., holding purchasing a public insurance policy, engaging frequent physical activity, acquiring commercial insurance), status. The sample was composed of 1930 residing rural regions China. Three main research questions investigated: whether affects status, investments impact between status is mediated by investment. Our results showed that level EK for significantly impacted their self-reported mental health. To account potential endogeneity mutual causality, employed television usage network as two instrumental variables (IVs) used an IV-probit method. Additionally, we estimated model replaced with variable Body Mass Index (BMI) assess reliability robustness our results. were consistent, providing evidence robustness. However, preference positively EK, though it did not directly affect Conversely, increase associated greater likelihood exercise, which, turn, improved overall
