Agricultural activities in many African countries are bedevilled by a range of risk factors. Using micro-level household datasets from Africa, we examine the drivers agricultural risks, while exploring role context as well impact COVID-19 pandemic on welfare, with focus farm households relative to their non-farm counterparts. We demonstrate that probability experiencing risks related agriculture is significantly influenced individual- and farm-level/contextual factors, these effects showing considerable variations across contexts Africa. also find witnessed important reductions incomes during period Uganda. The study contributes design evidence-based approaches reducing farmers’ vulnerabilities pandemic-related shocks.
