Reduced cardiac autophagy, inflammation, and apoptosis contribute to cardiovascular complications caused by metabolic syndrome (MetS). It is documented that the nuclear receptor 4A2 (NR4A2) could modulate autophagy in complications. The aim of this investigation was assess therapeutic potential luteolin, with beneficial properties, against MetS-associated injury. Forty male albino Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups randomly as controls, MetS, MetS animals treated luteolin (25, 50, 100 mg/kg ip). animal's weight, blood pressure, lipid profile, tolerance glucose insulin, histopathology evaluated. Moreover, troponin T, creatine kinase-myocardial band (CK-MB), inflammatory profile (IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α), transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1), oxidative stress, matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) analyzed determine state. Cardiac NR4A2 p53, well apoptotic (B-cell leukemia/lymphoma 2 [BCL-2], Caspase [CASP]-3, CASP-9) autophagic mediators (Sequestosome-1/p62, Microtubule-associated protein 1 A/1B-light chain 3 [LC3], Beclin-1) measured RT-qPCR ELISA. Luteolin remarkably restored MetS-induced biochemical derangements related injury via suppression apoptosis, stress but promotion (p-value < 0.001). Current findings revealed promising therapeutical properties risks.

Metabolic syndrome caused obesity has long been recognized as a risk of health. Celery and celery extracts have various medicinal properties, such anti-diabetes anti-inflammatory properties blood glucose serum lipid reduction. However, the effect probiotic fermentation on juice association between fermented (FCJ) were unclear. This study aimed to evaluate beneficial effects FCJ high-fat diet (HFD) induced related metabolic syndromes. C57BL/6 mice randomly divided into six groups (n = 15 per group) fed either normal (ND) or HFD with without CJ/FCJ (10 g kg-1 day-1) by oral gavage for 12 weeks. Here we demonstrated that (CJ) could enhance active ingredients in celery, total polyphenols, flavonoids, vitamin C SOD. Compared slight improvement CJ ingestion, intake significantly inhibited body weight gain, prevented dyslipidemia hyperglycemia, suppressed visceral fat accumulation. Furthermore, 16S rRNA sequencing analysis revealed altered composition gut microbiota, increasing ratio Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes relative abundance bacteria (Lactobacillus, Ruminococcaceae_UCG-014, Faecalibaculum Blautia), decreasing harmful (Alloprevotella Helicobacter). These findings suggest can prevent HFD-induced become novel microbiota modulator dysbiosis obesity-related disorders.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a rare, recurrent, and intractable inflammation obstruction of the stomach tract, usually accompanied by cell proliferation colon carries particular cause inflammation. The clinical use drugs in western countries affects IBD treatment, but various adverse effects high prices limit their application. For these reasons, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) more advantageous treating IBD. This paper reviews mechanism research status TCM natural products treatment analyzing relevant literature to provide scientific theoretical basis for treatment.
