Background: The expression of the transient receptor potential 1 (TRPA1) gene is increased in many solid tumours, and its function relates to inflammation, oxidative stress or presence toxic substances. However, little known about correlation clinical parameters with patients’ cancer stages, metastases degree tumour infiltration by immune cells. Methods: We performed a bioinformatic analysis, using databases public resources investigate TRPA1 for available samples. used samples from TCGA project quantified mRNA survival analysis TIMER, TIMER.2 GEPIA. To analyse hypermethylation, more extensive database was UALCAN website. Results: show that hypermethylated cancers. high correlated better prognosis several types correlates stage metastasis, while others pro-oncogenic. also report effect infiltrating Moreover, linked genes essential cellular motility processes. Conclusions: Our study brings new insights into regulation different tumours based on provided databases, opening possibility further protein as putative target cancer.

The management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which is characterized by immunodeficiency, has attracted increasing attention, highlighting the necessity for more precise and streamlined diagnostic approaches in clinics. Calprotectin, an immune cell-derived protein with inherent anti-inflammatory antimicrobial properties, plays a pivotal role regulation intestinal homeostasis. Its expression levels are intricately linked to IBD activity, enabling differentiation between non-inflammatory states while predicting recurrence risks. As non-invasive biomarker, fecal calprotectin (FC) serum (SC) analysis offers high reproducibility clinical utility, facilitating both diagnosis real-time monitoring. Beyond its specificity distinguishing from other gastrointestinal disorders, also emerges as promising therapeutic target, due dual modulating pathways interacting gut microbiota. With collaborative advancements standardized detection protocols innovative research methodologies, it anticipated that calprotectin-based strategies will be integrated into mainstream practice IBD.
