The rapid growth of the human population and urbanization has significantly increased demand for animal proteins. However, expanding protein production from land-based farming, fisheries, fish aquaculture faces challenges such as limited land water resources, high carbon emissions, overfished stocks, reliance on unsustainable meal oil. Although many studies highlight bivalve a potential source sustainable high-quality proteins, there is quantitative data omega-3 long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 LC-PUFA) essential amino acid (EAA) global aquaculture. In this context, present study aims to evaluate current status n-3 LC-PUFA EAA in mariculture. results revealed that bivalves are valuable protein, rich (EAAs) (LC-PUFA), EPA DHA. Between 2018 2022, by 7.1 % wet weight, while crude PUFA, + DHA, EEA yields was 4.4 %, 5.9 6.5 3.1 respectively. Current levels DHA EAAs sufficient meet dietary needs 78.68 million 17.3 healthy adults, Among different species, clams scallops most efficient producers EAAs, oysters produce least. This provides comprehensive overview lipid offers insights future management strategies support industry's growth.

Microplastics have become major pollutants in the marine environment and can accumulate high concentrations, especially gut of organisms. Unlike other seafood, bivalves are consumed whole, along with their digestive systems, resulting transfer microplastics to humans. Therefore, there is an urgent need review status microplastic pollution bivalves. In this context, article provides a comprehensive impact on physiology immunology general, levels tissue-specific manner. The bioaccessibility (fraction of compounds released from the food matrix and available for absorption) carotenoid content carrot chromoplasts obtained through high-speed centrifugation using sucrose gradients were assessed. Fleshy fruits are popular among consumers due to their significant nutritional value, which includes essential bioactive compounds such as pigments, vitamins, and minerals. Notably, plant-derived pigments generally considered safe reliable, helping protect humans against various inflammatory diseases. Although the phytochemical diversity biological activities have been extensively reviewed summarized, status of nutrients in fleshy fruits, particularly with a focusing on different colors, has received less attention. Therefore, this review introduces five common types based coloration summarizes major compounds. It also provides latest advancements function, biosynthesis, metabolic engineering pigments. Background/Objectives: The aim of the present study was to develop nanostructured lipid carrier (NLC)-filled hydrogel beads for delivery curcumin in functional foods. Methods: Curcumin-loaded NLC-filled based on calcium alginate were developed using extrusion method. Various preparation parameters, physicochemical characteristics, gastrointestinal fates, and antioxidant bioactivities studied confirm feasibility this system. Results: NLCs successfully filled into with an encapsulation efficiency above 80%. stability test displayed that encapsulated within further enhanced when beads.
