Lactobacillus is a key genus of probiotics commonly utilized for the treatment oral infections The primary aim our research was to investigate probiotic potential newly isolated Levilactobacillus brevis DPL5 strain from human breast milk, focusing on its ability combat biofilm-forming pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus. Probiotic species have garnered significant attention for their health benefits extending beyond gastrointestinal health. This study investigated the biological and enzymatic functions of selected probiotic species, specifically Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus (formerly Lactobacillus rhamnosus), Lactiplantibacillus plantarum plantarum), acidophilus, delbrueckii, among others, through in vitro experiments. Enzymatic activities, including hemolytic, lipase, esterase, protease functions, were evaluated. Antioxidant capacity was assessed using DPPH radical scavenging assays, while antimicrobial efficacy tested against common pathogenic bacteria. Antibiotic-resistance patterns analyzed to ascertain safety human consumption. Furthermore, simulated digestive fluid tolerance experiments conducted evaluate survival tract.
