Glaucoma, a leading cause of irreversible blindness, is increasingly recognized as neurodegenerative disease affecting broader neuro-ophthalmic pathways. Brain-derived neurotrophic Factor crucial neurotrophin, that supports the growth, maintenance, and survival neurons has been implicated in glaucomatous damage where its levels are diminished. Objectives: To focus on role Brain-Derived Neurotrophic pathophysiology glaucoma therapeutic potential by enhancing retinal ganglion cells. Methods: The studies this review taken from well-known public libraries for scientific research such PubMed (60%), Science Direct (25%) Springer Link (15%), line with PRISMA guidelines. Various works conducted over past decade different parts world, including North America, Europe, Asia, have provided evidence augmentation signalling may be very effective approach to managing or halting progression optic neuropathy through neuroprotection improving cells survival. Results: Studies both animals humans indicate downstream signals promote decrease extent apoptotic cell death, oxidative stress, inflammation glaucoma. Moreover, enhancements neuroprotective effects supported factors Nerve growth factor Factor. Conclusion: It was concluded used diagnostic marker Glaucoma well it could evaluated against disease.

Vision restoration presents a considerable challenge in the realm of regenerative medicine, while recent progress ultrasound stimulation has displayed potential as non-invasive therapeutic approach. This narrative review offers comprehensive overview current research on ultrasound-stimulated neuromodulation, emphasizing its treatment modality for various nerve injuries. By examining efficacy different types modulating peripheral and optic nerves, we can delve into their underlying molecular mechanisms. Furthermore, underscores sonogenetics vision restoration, which involves leveraging pharmacological genetic manipulations to inhibit or enhance expression related mechanosensitive channels, thereby strength response. We also address how methods such viral transcription be utilized render specific neurons organs highly responsive ultrasound, leading significantly improved outcomes.
