Different microenvironments shape distinct microbial communities that play a wide range of roles within coral holobionts. To better understand the capabilities symbiotic microbiota, more comprehensive characterization should be conducted. Therefore, this study was designed to investigate associated with mucus, tissue, skeleton, Galaxea fascicularis further explore their microscopic characteristics, species, composition. results revealed cell abundance significantly higher than other three compartments, volume cells cavity, mucus greater skeleton. There were significant differences community composition among four compartments G. fascicularis. In particular, showed relatively lower diversity lowest network complexity compared compartments. Additionally, potential functions microbiome enriched substance metabolism, especially lipid metabolism. Microbial taxa genes involved nitrogen fixation, sulfur reduction oxidation less abundant cavity. Overall, our suggested inhabited by large number microorganisms it performs strong selection process retain substrate which may support digestive function This also emphasizes urgent need at microscale comprehend role health resilience.
