The Chaoshan Depression, situated in the northern South China Sea, is a Mesozoic residual depression beneath Cenozoic Pearl River Mouth Basin. Borehole LF35-1-1 has confirmed existence of marine Jurassic layers rich organic carbon within this depression. However, understanding petroleum geology area limited due to complex interplay and tectonic activities poor quality seismic imaging from previous surveys, which have obstructed insights into characteristics reservoirs processes oil gas accumulation. Recent quasi-3D data allowed for identification bioherms carbonate platforms Middle Low Uplift Depression. This research employs integrated geophysical (MCS, gravity, magnetic) well explore factors that influenced reef development their implications reservoir formation. reflection patterns reefs are primarily characterized by high-amplitude discontinuous chaotic reflections, with occasional blank reflections or weak, sub-parallel as significant high-velocity, high Bouguer gravity low reduced-to-pole (RTP) magnetic anomalies. Atolls, stratiform reefs, patch located on local topographic highs platform. Three vertical evolutionary stages been identified based size atolls fluctuations relative sea level: initiation, growth, submergence. location was paleotectonic topography, while horizontal distribution affected variations level. Furthermore, limestone upper member Jurassic, combined mudstone source rocks Lower lower section bathyal caprocks part Late create highly favorable conditions hydrocarbon
