Arsenic occurrence in the world affects both public health and living organisms.This review is focused on literature recent years about arsenic contamination world, keeping mind large sterile dumps, which are highly contaminated with heavy metals.Arsenic toxicity bioavailability, chemical decontamination methods, glutathione effect, other key influencing factors also being summarized.Tailings dumps around closed barite mine of Tarnița, Suceava County affect much environment.The effect various concentrations arsenite arsenate wheat seeds seedling growth within several germination experiments was investigated order to assess potential individual released from dumps.
