Sustainable accessibility and adequate availability of healthy water are preconditions for living effective uninterrupted ecological networking. Surface sediment samples were collected from the surrounding waters of two largest tourist islands in Sanya, China, to compare and evaluate sources, distribution, ecological risks 21 organochlorine pesticides (OCPs). The total concentration OCPs ranged 1.35 5.0 ng/g. Among OCPs, ΣDDTs accounted for proportion, followed by ΣHCHs. concentrations HCHs DDTs west side West Island significantly higher than those east side, fine-grained sediments exhibited a stronger adsorption effect on OCPs. Source analysis indicated that area experienced new inputs HCH pollutants, while historical residues remained high. Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are highly hazardous, persistent, and bioaccumulative substances that pose a threat to water quality in number of locations, including the Beiluo River Shaanxi Province, China.
