Anthropogenic climate change is altering coastal systems globally, affecting macroalgae abundance and composition. These host diverse microbiomes, including pathogenic bacteria. Of particular concern are Vibrio species, such as parahaemolyticus vulnificus , which linked to human disease impact public health, the economy, recreation in areas. This study examined presence of spp. across seven genera a temperate estuary (Narragansett Bay, RI, USA). Using colony-forming unit (CFU) counts multiplex qPCR, we quantified V. assess if varied by genus morphology. The shellfish aquaculture industry is one of the fastest-growing sectors global food production, but it currently facing major challenges stemming from microbial pathogens. This study presents an optimized and validated suite droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) assays using water samples proximal to oyster farms in North Carolina quantify pathogens relevant industry. Vibrio vulnificus (Vv) and parahaemolyticus (Vp) are water- foodborne bacteria that can cause several distinct human diseases, collectively called vibriosis. The success of oyster aquaculture is negatively impacted by high abundances. Myriad environmental factors affect the distribution pathogenic Vibrio, including temperature, salinity, eutrophication, extreme weather events, plankton loads, harmful algal blooms. This study delves into the application of U-Net convolutional neural network (CNN) model for beach wrack (BW) segmentation and monitoring in coastal environments using multispectral imagery. Through utilization different input configurations, namely, “RGB”, “RGB height”, “5 bands”, bands “Band ratio indices”, this research provides insights optimal dataset combination model. The results indicate promising performance with “RGB” combination, achieving a moderate Intersection over Union (IoU) 0.42 BW an overall accuracy IoU = 0.59.
