Abstract The effects of plateau solar radiation on microbial abundance and diversity metabolism during the formal operation A2O reactor were analyzed by running three parallel units with radiation, constant temperature room laterally. results showed that when reached 180th day, nitrogen removal effect decreased significantly compared in general; number operational taxonomic (OTUs) systems 1140, 972 1000, an increasing trend throughout whole process, metabolic function dominant genera microorganisms was dominated organic matter degradation, denitrification denitrogenation, pathways carbon metabolism, it also found relative denitrifying bacteria (DNB) increased increase duration exposure. bacterial system lower than up to 90 days, some common sludge suppressed but denitrification-related their functional genes instead strengthened reactor.
