Atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) holds extensive application prospects in fields such as material processing, biomedicine, and energy conversion. Discharge stability plays a crucial role achieving efficient, controllable, reproducible plasma treatment. While the inevitable presence of impurity N2 working gas significantly influences characteristics, current understanding content on remains insufficient. In this work, we systematically investigated impact temporal nonlinear behavior atmospheric He/N2 DBD using one-dimensional fluid model. Our findings reveal general characteristic evolution under different initial conditions: increases, initially develops into chaotic state then evolves symmetric single-period through inverse period-doubling bifurcation. This involves variations electron backflow regions resulting differences seed density between two consecutive applied voltage cycles. The present work provides an insight modulating dynamics DBD, offering theoretical guidance for stable applications.
