Salmonella is a foodborne zoonotic pathogen and hazard to public health. Surveillance of the prevalence important. This study sought understand population structure, antimicrobial susceptibility, virulence-associated gene profile 100 Salmonella, which were randomly selected from clinical diarrhea fecal samples during 2015 2019 in Jiangsu Province, China. After whole-genome sequencing silico analysis, we found that Province was periodic serotypes diverse, covering 9 serogroups 19 serotypes. S. Enteritidis most prevalent serotype, followed by Typhimurium. A high resistance also observed this study, nearly half (47/100) isolates determined be multidrug-resistant (resistant ≥3 agents), genotype phenotype associated but not closely related, differed between major sequence types. Additionally, highly concordant with serotype. Our work shows association among resistance, virulence profile, demonstrating connection providing epidemiological data for Salmonella.
