Previous studies have demonstrated that L. delbrueckii plays beneficial roles in modulating the gut microbiota, enhancing intestinal barrier, and promoting animal growth. Postbiotics a similar or even superior effect protecting health compared to probiotics due their excellent stability, extended shelf life, safety. However, protective effects underlying mechanism of postbiotics from inflammation remain unclear. In this study, we impact on by establishing S. Typhimurium-induced model mice, which included inactivated bacteria supernatant. The results revealed increased survival rate body weight level IL-10, decreased levels TNF-α IL-6, thereby alleviating inflammation. Meanwhile, treatment with D-LA, DAO, LPS promoted expression Occludin, ZO-1, Claudin-1 serum jejunum, suggesting an improvement barrier function postbiotics. Additionally, modulated microbial diversity, ratio Firmicutes Bacteroidetes, restored abundance Muribaculaceae, Lachnospiraceae_NK4a136_groups, Alloprevotella Typhimurium-infected mice. Moreover, expansion stem cells (ISCs) numbers Paneth Goblet cells. Taken together, these data role against ISCs.

Cadmium (Cd) pollution poses an important problem, but limited information is available about the toxicology effects of Cd on freshwater invertebrates. We investigated accumulation, oxidative stress, microbial community changes, and transcriptomic alterations in apple snails (Pomacea canaliculata) under stress. The were exposed to 10 μg/L solution for 16 days, followed by a 16-day elimination period. Our results showed that liver accumulated highest concentration (17.41 μg/g), kidneys (8.00 μg/g) intestine-stomach (6.68 highlighting these tissues as primary targets accumulation. During period, concentrations decreased all tissues, with head-foot shell exhibiting over 30% rates. stress also resulted reduced activities superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione transferase (GST) compared control group. Notably, even after days depuration, enzyme did not return normal levels, indicating persistent toxicological effects. exposure significantly diversity gut microbiota P. canaliculata. Moreover, transcriptome analysis identified differentially expressed genes (DEGs) primarily associated lysosome function, motor proteins, protein processing endoplasmic reticulum, drug metabolism via cytochrome P450 (CYP450), arachidonic acid metabolism, ECM–receptor interactions. These findings suggest predominantly disrupts cellular transport metabolic processes. Overall, our study provides comprehensive insights into impact canaliculata emphasizes importance understanding mechanisms underlying toxicity aquatic organisms.

At an early age, chickens commonly exhibit a rise in the average daily gain, which declines as they age. Further studies indicated that decrease chicken growth performance at later age is closely associated with age-related decline Lactobacillus abundance small intestines. Whether inhibiting intestine by fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) could improve interesting question. 16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed higher jejunal high body weight both two different breeds (yellow feather chickens, H vs L, 85.96% 55.58%; white 76.21% 31.47%), significantly and positively breast/leg muscle weights (P < 0.05). Moreover, declined (30 days, 74.04%; 60 50.80%; 120 34.03%) gain rose (1 to 30 5.78 g; 9.86 90 7.70 3.20 g), indicating related performance. Transplanting from healthy donor better 1-day-old chicks continuously improved (Con FMT; 288.45 g 314.15 g, P 0.05; 672.77 758.15 0.01; 1146.08 1404.43 0.0001) even after stopping 4th week. The treatment of agricultural areas with pesticides is an indispensable approach to improve crop yields and cannot be avoided in the coming decades. At same time, significant amounts remain food their ingestion causes serious damage such as neurological, gastrointestinal, allergic reactions; cancer; even death. However, during fermentation processing foods, residual are significantly reduced thanks enzymatic degradation by starter accompanying microflora. This review concentrates on foods highest levels pesticide residues, milk, yogurt, fermented vegetables (pickles, kimchi, olives), fruit juices, grains, sourdough, wines. focus molecular mechanisms due presence specific microbial species. They contain a unique genetic pool that confers appropriate enzymological profile act detoxifiers. prospects developing more effective biodetoxification strategies engaging probiotic lactic acid bacteria also discussed.

This review aims to argue how using probiotics can improve anxiety and depressive behaviour without adverse effects, also exploring the impact of postbiotics on it. Specifically, have drawn more attention as effective alternative treatments, considering rising cost antidepressant anti-anxiety drugs high risk side effects. Depression disorders are among most common mental illnesses in world's population, characterised by low mood, poor general interest, cognitive or motor dysfunction. Thus, this study analyzed published literature anxiety, depression, probiotic supplementation from PubMed Scopus, focusing last twenty years. focused effect health they because their extensive clinical applications positive various diseases. Numerous studies demonstrated gut microbiota might be critical for mood regulation affect host regulating gut-brain axis. By comparing different works analysed, it was possible identify a strategy which selected employed and, at same time, assess optimised postbiotics, an innovation well-being humans.

Ulcerative colitis (UC) is regarded as a recurring inflammatory disorder of the gastrointestinal tract, for which treatment approaches remain notably limited. In this study, we demonstrated that ginseng polysaccharides (GPs) could alleviate development dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced UC reflected by ameliorated pathological lesions in colon. GPs strikingly suppressed expression levels multiple cytokines, well significantly inhibited infiltration cells. Microbiota-dependent investigations virtue 16S rRNA gene sequencing, antibiotic and fecal microbiota transplantation illustrated prominently restored intestinal microbial balance predominantly through modulating relative abundance Lactobacillus. Additionally, remarkably influenced tryptophan metabolites, diminished permeability strengthened barrier integrity via inhibiting 5-HT/HTR3A signaling pathway. Taken together, promising therapeutic potential on hinges capacity to suppress cytokines influence Lactobacillus metabolites.
