The advancement of chromatographic separations is fundamentally tied to the development innovative stationary phases. This study introduces first use spherical hypercrosslinked polymers (HCPs), Poly-BINOL, synthesized through a knitting strategy employing binaphthol, as novel phase for HPLC targeting mixed-mode separations. Poly-BINOL demonstrates exceptional chemical and mechanical stability, broad pH resilience, superior solvent resistance, along with an expanded specific surface area conducive efficient separation small molecules. characterization BET, SEM, FT-IR spectroscopy, thermal stability assessments highlights its distinct physical properties. efficacy packed columns was showcased various analytes under diverse operational conditions, exhibiting unparalleled selectivity efficiency. Notably, it showed superiority in separating complex samples enhanced retention capabilities PAHs due pronounced π-π interactions. Analytical performance evaluations confirmed high reproducibility separations, especially precise selective analysis PAH compounds. groundbreaking work not only potential HCPs liquid chromatography but also opens avenues future research application broader field science.
