ABSTRACT Polymer nanocomposites have garnered significant interest for their potential in different applications. Precise control over structural, optical, and electrical properties using hybrid ZnO/Cu NPs fillers is crucial optimizing performance these To address this need, herein, we investigate the effect of zinc oxide (ZnO) copper (Cu) nanoparticles (NPs) on dielectric/electrical polyethylene (PEO) polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) blends. The were synthesized by incorporating 1.5 wt% ZnO varying concentrations Cu (1.0% 3.0%) into PVP/PEO matrix. prepared films characterized FTIR, XRD, UV/Vis spectroscopy, dielectric analysis, impedance spectroscopy. FTIR XRD analyses indicated structural changes, including reduced crystallinity improved polymer–nanofiller interactions. Optical measurements revealed a redshift absorption edge decrease optical band gap, with values shifting from 4.89 eV (direct) 3.99 (indirect) to 4.16 2.13 eV, respectively. Dielectric analysis showed enhanced constants interfacial polarization effects, while AC conductivity demonstrated an increase conductivity. Nyquist plot confirmed bulk resistance higher filler concentrations. These findings underscore applications optoelectronic devices sensors.
