Aptamers are synthetic nucleic acids or peptides that exhibit high specificity and affinity for target molecules such as small molecules, proteins, cells. Due to their ability bind precisely these targets, aptamers have found widespread use in bioanalytical diagnostic applications. Rolling circle amplification (RCA) is an technique utilizes DNA RNA templates, where circular primers extended by polymerases generate multiple repeated sequences, enabling highly sensitive detection of molecules. The integration with RCA offers significant advantages, enhancing both the sensitivity while ensuring a fast straightforward process. This synergy has already been widely applied across various fields, including fluorescence, microfluidics, visualization, electrochemical technologies. Examples include molecular probe development, rapid disease biomarkers, environmental monitoring. Looking ahead, aptamer-RCA platform holds great promise advancing early diagnosis, precision medicine, development nanosensors, driving innovation new applications fields.
