The ring-opening polymerization of L-lactide is a crucial route for producing biodegradable polylactides (PLAs). Developing an efficient catalyst this process poses significant challenges. Herein, we report the successful incorporation nickel during crystallization ZIF-67, derivation abundant and stable CoO source, to obtain composite magnetic Ni@CoO@ZIF-67 using solid-state thermal (SST) method. characterization resulting materials revealed that atoms are well dispersed in CoO@ZIF-67, imparting additional properties. demonstrated superior performance as heterogeneous compared reference such Ni-Hmim, CoO, CoO@ZIF-67. Furthermore, property offers practical advantages, enabling easier separation recycling catalyst. Notably, SST method facilitates single-step synthesis under solvent-free conditions, representing advancement development. This approach not only simplifies but also inspires further developments catalysts variety effective diverse reactions.
