The first data on the neurochemical and ultrastructural organisation of nervous system fish blood fluke, suckerless adult Sanguinicola plehnae Warren et Bullard in Warren, Poddubnaya, Zhokhov, Reyda, Choudhury Bullard, 2023 (Digenea: Aporocotylidae) from circulatory pike, Esox lucius Linnaeus are presented. Based 5-HT-IP staining, simple, uniformly developed orthogonal pattern S. is revealed. ventral dorsal nerve cords originate brain lobes, but lateral anterior nerves at level large serotonergic neurons. In addition, several pairs such neurons (22-23.5 µm diameter) revealed along cords. Unusual spindle-shaped perikarya (7.8-19.8 observed each neuroblasts developing seen between neurites with neuron somata scattered around neuropil periphery, evidencing renewal population digeneans. morphological variability both types neurovesicles digeneans discussed.
