Precision medicine (PM) has taken center stage in healthcare since the completion of genomic project. Developed countries have gradually integrated PM into mainstream patient management. However, Nigeria still grapples with wide acceptance, key translational research and implementation PM. This study sought to explore knowledge attitude among pharmacists as stakeholders team. A cross-sectional was conducted selected tertiary hospitals across country. 21-item semi-structured questionnaire administered by hybrid online physical methods results analyzed Statistical Package for Social Sciences Version 25. Prostate cancer remains a significant health challenge, being the most prevalent non-cutaneous in men worldwide. This review discusses critical advancements biomarker discovery using single-omics and multi-omics approaches. Multi-omics, integrating genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, metabolomic, epigenomic data, offers comprehensive understanding of molecular heterogeneity prostate cancer, leading to identification novel biomarkers therapeutic targets. holistic approach not only enhances specificity sensitivity detection but also supports development personalized treatment strategies. Key studies highlighted include genes, genetic mutations, peptides, metabolites, potential through analyses, which have shown promise improving management. The integration clinical practice can potentially revolutionize prognosis treatment, paving way for precision medicine. underscores importance continued research application overcome current challenges diagnosis therapy.

The clinical management of malignant tumours is challenging, often leading to severe adverse effects and death. Drug resistance (DR) antagonises the effectiveness treatments, increasing drug dosage can worsen therapeutic index (TI). Current efforts overcome DR predominantly involve use combinations, including applying multiple anti-cancerous drugs, employing sensitisers, which are chemical agents that enhance pharmacokinetics (PK), targeting cellular pathways regulating pertinent membrane transporters. While combining compounds may lead drug–drug interactions (DDI) or polypharmacy effect, sensitisers permits rapid attainment effective treatment dosages at disease site prevent early minimise side will reduce chance DDI as lower doses required. This review highlights essential TI in evaluating for cancer discusses lack a unified standard within field. Commonly used benefit–risk assessment criteria summarised, critical exploration current pharmaceutical industrial sector included. Specifically, this leads discussion facilitate improved ratios dose toxic directly humans. combination sensitiser molecules might see additional benefits rekindle those drugs failed late-stage trials by removal detrimental off-target activities through doses. combinations potential means combat DR. evolution on reviewed.
