The mammalian olfactory neuronal lineage is regenerative, and accordingly, maintains a population of pluripotent cells that replenish sensory neurons other cell types during the life animal. Moreover, in response to acute injury, early transit amplifying along are able de-differentiate shift resources support tissue restoration. In order further explore plasticity various cellular stages lineage, we challenged epigenetic stability two placode-derived lines model immature stages. We found perturbation

Purpose of review Olfactory neuroblastoma (ONB) is a rare malignancy originating from olfactory neuroepithelial cells. Given its uncommon nature and complex clinical presentation, this comprehensive highlights recent findings treatment approaches for advancing practice research. Recent literature emphasizes significant advancements in the genomic profiling molecular classification ONB. Emerging targeted therapies include somatostatin analogs programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) inhibitors. In addition, development genetically engineered mouse models has provided valuable platforms testing new strategies, revealing similarities between ONB small cell lung cancer, which may inform future therapeutic approaches. Summary These have profound implications on practice. Improved diagnostic accuracy through advanced imaging addition to identifying specific mutations therapy can lead personalized treatments patients with Developments multiinstitutional collaborative efforts are vital research standardizing testing. The integration techniques, profiling, holds promise improving patient outcomes understanding malignancy.
