A corrosion inhibition test, coupled with a quantification of in-situ H2 evolution, can be used to evaluate an organic inhibitor such as Timoho leaf extract (TLE). TLE is biodegradable and effective because its potential protect 304SS against sulfuric acid. was studied through systematic electrochemical experiments morphological characterization, concentration range 0–6g L−1. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)-VGG16 one the machine learning approaches classify predict physical changes in hydrogen gas bubbles. Constituents surfaces were analyzed by FT-IR UV–Vis tests. The results suggested that 3 g L−1 able reduce rate 99.37 %. TLE's mechanism on mixed adsorption type followed Isothermal Freundlich Equation. prediction model CNN-VGG16 for tests at varied doses 96% accurate. SEM revealed constituent surface had smooth morphology few degraded spots.

The current study comprehensively investigates the adsorption behavior of chromium (Cr(III)) in wastewater using Algerian kaolinite clay. structural and textural properties clay are extensively characterized through a range analytical methods, including XRD, FTIR, SEM-EDS, XPS, laser granulometry, N2 isotherm, TGA–DTA. point zero charge zeta potential also assessed. Chromium reached equilibrium within five minutes, achieving maximum removal rate 99% at pH 5. Adsorption is modeled Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin, Elovich, Dubinin–Radushkevitch equations, with Langmuir isotherm accurately describing process yielding capacity 8.422 mg/g for Cr(III). Thermodynamic parameters suggest spontaneous endothermic nature Cr(III) sorption, an activation energy 26.665 kJ/mol, indicating importance diffusion sorption process. Furthermore, advanced DFT computations, COSMO-RS, molecular orbitals, IGM, RDG, QTAIM analyses, conducted to elucidate adsorption, revealing strong binding interactions between ions surface. integration theoretical experimental data not only enhances understanding but demonstrates effectiveness this adsorbent treatment. highlights synergistic application empirical research computational modeling elucidating complex processes.

Natural and fragrant compounds, essential oils (EOs) extracted from plants through hydrodistillation, are gaining popularity as eco-friendly sustainable agents to protect metals alloys corrosion in acidic environments. This research focused on extracting characterizing an EO obtained the Cuminum cyminum (CC) plant native India. The study aimed evaluate inhibitory properties of this mild steel a 0.5 M HCl solution at different concentrations. Various analytical techniques, including potentiodynamic polarization curves, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, optical microscopy, infrared proton magnetic resonance, were employed assess effectiveness extract. Our findings indicate that L (CCL) extract effectively reduces hydrochloric acid with inhibition efficiency ranging 79.69 98.76%. optimal concentration was 2 g/L EO, surface analysis confirmed formation protective layer. Furthermore, our results suggest inhibitor binds metal charge-transfer process, creating film. Finally, we utilized theoretical calculations molecular dynamics simulations elucidate mechanism both global local scale.
