In this study, sodium dodecyl sulfate modified graphene oxide (GO-SDS) was prepared as an adsorbent to remove moxifloxacin (MFX) from aqueous solution. Transmission electron microscopic (TEM) and scanning (SEM) images showed that SDS decreases the aggregation of GO surface, which significantly increased surface area interlayer distance between successive layers GO-SDS. Adsorption studies demonstrated 98% MFX removed by GO-SDS within 15 min at pH 5.8, while dosage 37.5 mg L–1. The adsorption kinetics followed pseudo-second order linear model, Langmuir isotherm model fitted data better than Freundlich model. values ΔH ΔS obtained thermodynamic were +5.603 kJ mol–1 +2.114 K–1, respectively, indicating process is endothermic spontaneous. Furthermore, satisfactory reusability revealed it could be effective for removal

ABSTRACT In this work, efforts have been made to synthesize novel Zn/Cu‐layered double oxide by performing calcination of hydroxide, which was later used as an adsorbent for the uptake toxic azo dye. Malachite green (MG) a model cationic dye assessing practicability wastewater treatment. From batch experiments study, it evident that ultrasonication‐assisted adsorption enables 90% MG be removed from water within 30 min at neutral pH conditions. The ultrasound‐assisted sorption process driven acoustic cavitation process, facilitated homogeneous distribution active sites on surface resulting efficient removal molecules. As predicted Langmuir isotherm model, sorbent exhibited maximum capacity 128.20 mg/g, and based kinetic measurements, pseudo‐second‐order found most accurate. studies also revealed intraparticle diffusion is rate‐limiting step process. current study demonstrates smartphone‐assisted estimation adsorbed in order provide simple, convenient, cost‐effective, instrument‐free method quantify concentration. A smartphone‐based app called “ColorPicker” calculate rate real time RGB values colorimetric responses. percent obtained using smartphone (87%) agreement with data UV–vis spectroscopy (90%). result its excellent properties, Zn/Cu‐LDO appears potential candidate remediation.
