Vitiligo is a chronic autoimmune pigmentation disorder shaped by complex interplay of genetic predispositions and environmental triggers. While conventional therapies—phototherapy, corticosteroids, immunosuppressants—can be effective, their benefits are often partial temporary, with recurrence common once treatment stops. As such, there increasing interest in exploring complementary approaches that may offer more sustainable impact. Emerging evidence suggests macronutrient micronutrient-level changes could beneficial for managing progression and, some cases, facilitating repigmentation. Antioxidant-rich foods, such as apples, green tea, Indian gooseberry, onions, peppers, help mitigate oxidative stress, while inflammatory gluten high-phenol nuts berries, exacerbate the condition. Certain supplements, including high-dose vitamin D, C, E, selenium, enhance phototherapy outcomes. Omega-3 other unsaturated fatty acids, addition to prebiotics probiotics, under active investigation roles gut health immune regulation. Notably, plant-derived compounds, i.e., Ginkgo biloba, have demonstrated promise promoting repigmentation disease progression. However, it must emphasized these nutritional interventions remain exploratory, research needed establish efficacy, safety, optimal usage before they can recommended part standard regimen.

As opções incluem uso terapia ultravioleta B banda estreita (NB-UVB), imunossupressores corticoides, metotrexato, azatioprina Apremilast, inibidores calcineurina. Considerações finais: No apesar longo, bons resultados têm sido vistos realizando terapias duplas, associando fototerapia imunossupressores, corticoides ou metotrexato e/ou

Vitiligo is an autoimmune skin disease that targets pigment-producing melanocytes and results in depigmentation. This disfiguring condition frequently affects visible areas of the body therefore causes a heavy psychological burden decreased quality life. Although remains intractable, evergrowing understanding its immunopathogenesis has dramatically shaped treatment paradigm for vitiligo. With impact autoreactive cytotoxic T cells explained extensively, accumulating evidence suggests unique role regulatory (Treg) immune microenvironment We systematically reviewed Treg deficiency, instability, reduced vitality dysfunction reported vitiligo patients, combined with novel findings regarding function modulation backgrounds including metabolic alteration, post-translational modifications interaction other cells. further summarized classic advanced Treg-targeted therapeutics practice research. Herein, we aimed to display updated knowledge vitiligo, providing insights into Treg-based therapeutic strategies.
