Abstract In the last two decades, many Schiff bases have been investigated due to importance of their metal complexes in medical field and drug industry. The base several applications as anticancer agents because they a high binding ability nucleic acids (DNA RNA). H 2 L, derived from condensation 2-phenylacetohydrazide 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde, was reacted with Fe 2+ , Zn Cd Pt form unique [Fe(HL) ], [Zn (HL) ](CH 3 COO) [Cd [Pt(H L)Cl ]. Various analytical spectroscopic techniques were used characterize newly reported compounds. elemental analysis revealed that platinum complex square planar 2.5 water molecules crystal lattice, whereas iron had an octahedral geometry. thermogravimetric demonstrated stability validated dimerization zinc cadmium complexes. ABSTRACT In this study, N‐phenylortho‐phenylenediamine and N‐phenyl ethylenediamine were utilized as amines, two novel ligands, benzimidazole (LI) Schiff base (LII), synthesized through condensation reactions with 3‐methoxy‐4‐benzyloxybenzaldehyde. Furthermore, using these same LIII (benzimidazole) 3‐phenoxybenzaldehyde LIV (Schiff base) 4‐benzyloxybenzaldehyde in accordance the literature. Then, Pt (II) complexes (Ia, Ib, II, III, IV) prepared it was determined that Ia Ib are geometric isomers. The ligands characterized 1 H‐NMR, 13 C‐NMR, FT‐IR, elemental analysis methods. cytotoxic effects of evaluated on SH‐SY5Y neuronal cells. Low‐toxicity Ia, IV then tested for their ability to inhibit amyloid beta (Aβ 1–42 ) aggregation. Thioflavin T fluorescence analysis, AFM imaging, MALDI‐TOF mass spectrometry demonstrated complexes, particularly at a 1:1 complex‐to‐amyloid molar ratio, effectively inhibited Aβ These findings suggest containing may be effective against Alzheimer's disease by alleviating toxicity.

Cancer is a life-threatening disease, and significant efforts are still being made to treat it. In this study, we synthesized characterized novel hybrid molecules (10–18) containing hydrazone sulfonate moieties tested their cell growth inhibitory effect on human colon cancer cells (DLD-1), prostate (PC3), embryonic kidney (HEK-293T) using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) method for 72 h. culture studies, all except 12 13 showed cytotoxic activities at micromolar level with IC50 values in range of 10.28–214.0 μM PC3 line 13.49–144.30 DLD-1 line. Three chlorinated metal complexes [Ni2(HL)2(C2H5OH)2Cl2]·2C2H5OH (complex 1), [Co(HL)(L)] 2), and [Zn2(HL)2(CH3COO)2] 3) derived from 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde 2-(2-aminophenyl)-1H-benzimidazole Schiff base ligand (H2L). The crystal structures of the three were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric X-ray single-crystal diffraction, UV-visible absorption spectrum. in vitro cytotoxicity its evaluated on four different tumor cell lines (A-549 lung cancer, SMMC-7721 liver MDA-MB-231 breast CNE-2Z nasopharyngeal carcinoma), normal ovarian epithelial (IOSE 80) was determined MTT assay. results indicated that chloro-benzimidazole Co (III) complex 2) displayed higher against line than cisplatin, while IOSE 80 lower cisplatin. further study cells 2 showed could inhibit G0/G1 phase, proliferation migration, promote apoptosis, increase intracellular ROS level. Western blot analysis demonstrated Bax protein expression decrease Bcl-2 cells.

ABSTRACT In this study, we combined NiCl 2 and CuCl with levofloxacin (LEV) in the presence of 2,6‐di(1 H ‐pyrazol‐1‐yl)pyridine (DPP) to generate two novel NiLEVDPP CuLEVDPP mixed‐ligand complexes.
