Effective corrosion control strategies are highly desired to reduce the fate of corrosion. One widely adopted approach is use inhibitors, which can significantly mitigate detrimental effects This systematic review provides a thorough analysis including both inorganic and organic compounds. It explores inhibition mechanisms, highlighting remarkable inhibitive efficiency compounds attributed presence heteroatoms conjugated π-electron systems. The presents case studies investigations shedding light on their performance application potential. In this paper, four quinoline quaternary ammonium salts were synthesized using quaternization reaction, which benzyl quinolion (BQL), naphthylmethyl quinolinium chloride (NQL), benzyl-8-hydroxy (BHQ) and 8-hydroxy (NHQ). The corrosion inhibition properties of the derivatives as inhibitors on P110 steel in 20% HCl solution at 60°C different concentrations investigated by weight loss electrochemical measurements. results showed that concentration inhibitor increases, rate decreased efficiency improved. Among various same concentration, their efficiencies can be ranked from lowest to highest follows: QL(quinoline)<8-HQ(8-hydroxyquinoline)
