Abstract In this paper, L‐lysine (Lys), L‐glutamic acid (Glu), and L‐glutamine (Gln) ‐grafted chitosan (CS) polymers (AA‐g‐CS) are prepared by a one‐pot method, employing EDC/NHS as coupling agent. Then AA‐g‐CS glycerol phosphate hydrogels (AA‐g‐CS/GP hydrogel) physical cross‐linking method. The AA‐g‐CS/GP hydrogel has dense 3D network structure, which facilitates the loading of drugs. pore size wall affected amino types (Lys, Glu Gln). Berberine hydrochloride (BBH) is encapsulated in three‐dimensional structure hydrogel. Escherichia coli (Gram‐negative bacteria, E. ) Staphylococcus aureus (Gram‐positive S. selected model antibacterial properties BBH@AA‐g‐CS/GP investigated AGAR drilling method turbidimetric results show that better inhibition effect on than . can achieve long‐term within 24 h. Therefore, an excellent carrier for BBH expected to be applied extensively wound healing, tissue regeneration, cell culture.

This study evaluated antioxidant and antimicrobial properties of chitosan gel (Cs-gel) functionalized with cinnamaldehyde oil (CN) orange peel-derived flavonoid extract (Fs) using the ionic-gelation method. Results showed that encapsulation efficiencies CCF-9 CCN were 83.14 ± 3.34 80.56 1.17%, respectively. The interaction CN or Fs on Cs-gel indicates presence H-bonding formation, as observed by UV-vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometry (FTIR), Raman-spectroscopy a good corroboration Surflex-dock findings. Scanning electron microscopy also integration occurred between Cs both ligands, which was further supported X-ray diffraction X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy spectra. textural CCF-5 high hardness, chewiness, gumminess values, indicating altered microstructure Cs-gel. Chotison-functionalized based gels exhibited higher abilities against DPPH ABTS free radicals than inhibition value 29.91 1.22 93.61 2.12%
