Abstract Four eight‐coordinated luminescent samarium complexes of type [Sm(hfpd) 3 L 2 ] and L′] [where hfpd = 1,1,1,5,5,5‐Hexafluoro‐2,4‐pentanedione tri‐octyl‐phosphine oxide (TOPO) L′ 1,10‐phenanthroline (phen), neocuproine (neoc) bathocuproine (bathoc) were synthesized via a stoichiometrically controlled approach. This allows for precise control over the stoichiometry complexes, leading to reproducible properties. investigation focuses on understanding impact secondary ligands properties these complexes. Infrared (IR) spectra provided information about molecular structures, whereas 1 H 13 C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) confirmed structural details along with coordination trivalent Sm ion. The UV–vis revealed molar absorption coefficient bands associated ligand photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy demonstrated intense orange‐red emission (648 nm relative 4 G 5/2 → 6 9/2 ) from Commission Internationale de l'Éclairage (CIE) triangles indicated that emitted warm orange red light color coordinates ( x , y ranging (0.62, 0.36) (0.40, 0.27). band gap as well parameters confirms utility in displays LEDs.

Complexes of dysprosium(iii) ions with 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoro-2,4-pentanedione featuring various mono and bi-dentate neutral ligands have been prepared thoroughly investigated. The synthesized complexes exhibit an octa-coordinated environment, achieved by stoichiometrically combining organic Dy(iii) ions. This octa-coordination environment ion was confirmed FT-IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetry elemental analysis. Near-white light (NWL) is emitted when were exposed to UV radiation, indicating a significant flow energy from the sensitizing moieties towards ion. NWL emission might resulted due balance between intensities corresponding peaks at 480 nm (blue) 575 (yellow) in Dy1-Dy3. Emission spectra recorded different excitation wavelength utilized study tunability CIE color coordinates. In addition their high thermal stability, display bipolar paramagnetic shifts NMR spectra. 4F9/2 → 6H13/2 transition, contributing ∼62% total emission, stands out as promising candidate for laser amplification its dominance Additionally, observed solid complex opens intriguing possibilities application next-generation white-light emitting devices.
