Abstract This study investigates the photodegradation of Acid Violet 49 in an aqueous medium under UV, UV/H 2 O 2, and combined with photo catalyst (UV/H /TiO , /ZnO, /SnO ). The impact all operational parameters including catalytic dosage, peroxidation (H ), pH dye concentration were evaluated. degradation efficiency AV49 was enhanced up to 96% alternative photocatalyst /ZnO circumstances 0.6mL H 0.9 g ZnO, 50 mg/L initial concentration, 9 after 90 min. Hemolytic test used check toxicity level products. FTIR spectroscopy UV/ZnO/H applied identify functional group before end product degradation. Moreover, analytical technique LC-MS provided valuable information regarding products AV 49. A proposed pathway identified based on findings product.
