This study aimed to determine the phytochemical composition of essential oil (EO) from Brunfelsia uniflora leaves and evaluate its antifungal cytotoxic activities. The EO was obtained by hydrodistillation analyzed using GC-MS GC-FID, leading identification 39 compounds. predominantly terpenoid (65.7%), followed non-terpenoid constituents (31.2%). major compounds identified included phytol (13.2%), oleic acid (10.5%), phenylethyl alcohol (9.2%), γ-eudesmol acetate (7.0%). activity evaluated against Candida species broth microdilution method. exhibited strong inhibitory effects C. albicans orthopsilosis (MIC = 62.5 µg/mL), moderate glabrata rugosa 250 weak tropicalis 1000 µg/mL). were assessed in human tumor cell lines (HeLa, MCF-7) a nontumor fibroblast line (GM07492A). demonstrated selective cytotoxicity toward HeLa (IC50 21.9 µg/mL) MCF-7 25.7 while exhibiting lower toxicity fibroblasts 131.9 selectivity indices (SI 6.0 for HeLa, 5.1 suggest potential as promising therapeutic candidate anticancer applications.
