To characterize patient-perceived fatigue by using the Finnish Multiple Sclerosis (MS) registry data. Fatigue was assessed with Severity Scale (FSS), for Motor and Cognitive Functions (FSMC), Visual Analogue Scale-Fatigue. Disease severity evaluated Expanded Disability Status symptoms Scales. Patient reported outcomes (PROs) included Neuropsychological Questionnaire, Euro Quality of Life - 5 dimensions, 15 D, Impact Scale. For purposes study, patients were classified to those without (FSS ≤ 4) ≥ 5) fatigue. The FSS scores correlated results other PROs. Based on 512 scores, 47% 5). related higher disability, lower education, smoking. significantly measures fatigue, cognitive, mood symptoms, associated Life. As an invisible debilitating symptom should be systematically. In screening, it is important recognize characteristics different scales. Whereas may serve as overall screen, FSMC help identify aspects cognitive motor separately.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a prevalent neurological disorder marked by inflammation and demyelination, with fatigue being one of the most reported debilitating symptoms. While occurs across various conditions even in healthy individuals, specific mechanisms contributing to each context remain unclear. In this study, we conducted cross-sectional analysis involving 32 people relapsing MS (PwRMS) 29 controls who fatigue. Participants underwent MRI scans, including T1-weighted diffusion-weighted imaging. Additionally, Modified Fatigue Impact Scale was utilized. We employed Bayesian LASSO Spike-and-Slab regression models investigate hypothesis that correlates differently brain structures PwRMS. Our findings revealed regions associated general cognitive particular, reduced white matter volume compromised microstructural integrity areas-such as cingulate gyrus, inferior frontal banks superior temporal sulcus-showed significant associations scores These results suggest alterations may play critical role clinical manifestation MS. Understanding these insights could help differentiate from those affecting MS, which guide future therapeutic strategies.

BACKGROUND Digital patient registries are actively used in the monitoring of long-term diseases. The potential management symptoms is underutilized. OBJECTIVE present paper reports Finnish registry-based procedure to screen and manage cognitive fatigue multiple sclerosis (MS). data collected during first two years presented. METHODS Symbol Digit Modalities Test (SDMT), Multiple Sclerosis Neuropsychological Questionnaire (MSNQ), Fatigue Scale for Motor Cognitive Functions (FSMC) were implemented into MS registry related cognition fatigue. For self-management purposes, feedback based on results MSNQ FSMC created. To assess patient-perceived disease severity, disability, quality life (QoL), Patient-Reported Expanded Disability Status (PREDSS), Visual Analogue Scales (VAS), Euro Quality Life – 5 Dimension (EQ-5D) registry. RESULTS At end 2020, concerns together with self-assessment status, symptoms, QoL annually was introduced. By beginning 2023, 134 patients have been assessed SDMT. 329 filled out 172 at least once received corresponding reports. mean SDMT score 49.6, 35.3, total 63.0, sub-score motor 31.6 31.5, respectively. CONCLUSIONS offers a digital platform systematic screening problems MS. Patient should be better recognized as e-Health solutions.
