Gas sensors, capable of detecting and monitoring trace amounts gas molecules or volatile organic compounds (VOCs), are in great demand for numerous applications including diagnosing diseases through breath analysis, environmental personal safety, food agriculture, other fields. The continuous emergence new materials is one the driving forces development sensors. Recently, 2D have been gaining huge attention sensing applications, owing to their superior electrical, optical, mechanical characteristics. Especially MXenes, high specific area rich surface functionalities with tunable electronic structure make them compelling applications. This Review discusses latest advancements MXenes It starts by briefly explaining family synthesis methods, delamination procedures. Subsequently, it outlines properties MXenes. Then describes theoretical experimental aspects MXenes-based Discussion also extended relation between performance structure, properties, chemistry. Moreover, highlights promising potential these current finally concludes limitations, challenges, future prospects

Abstract The rational design and applications of MXene‐based materials have yielded remarkable progress in flexible sensors, including wearable devices, soft robots, smart medical equipment. emerging MXene substrate can be precisely engineered to improve the mechanical properties sensing sensitivity opening up a wider range application possibilities for sensors. Therefore, systematic comprehensive review summarizing sensor research based on these backgrounds is necessary. First, we discuss basic structure introduce sensors detail. Then, also different preparation methods describe classifications, highlight various scenarios. Finally, identify challenges that need overcome accelerate development sensing. This provides insight into it expected this will contribute higher performance

We report the in-plane electron transport in MXenes (i.e., within MXene layers) as a function of composition using density-functional tight-binding method, conjunction with non-equilibrium Green’s functions technique. Our study reveals that all compositions have linear relationship between current and voltage at lower potentials, indicating their metallic character. However, magnitude given (conductivity) has different trends among compositions. For example, without any surface terminations (Ti3C2) exhibit higher conductivity compared to functionalization. Among –O –OH termination, those termination than ones terminations. Interestingly, changes ratio on surface. calculated I–V curves conductivities correlate well transmission electronic density states around Fermi level. The composition-dependent provides path tune for enhanced pseudocapacitive performance.

As a kind of flexible electronic device, pressure sensor has attracted wide attention in medical monitoring and human-machine interaction.
