Bone defect, a common orthopedic condition, is characterized by lengthy and impactful treatment period, posing considerable challenge in clinical settings. Medical technology has advanced notably, effectively treated an increasing number of patients with bone defects. Consequently, there been explosion research articles on regeneration, including substantial the application exosomes. Exosomes, especially those derived from stem cells, have confirmed to be effective regeneration garnered widespread attention last decade. Therefore, this study conducted bibliometric analysis publications related exosomes for regeneration. The objectives are explore development history hotspots field over past 10 years, predict future trends, provide guidance subsequent research. Web Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database was searched published 1 January 2014, 31 December 2023. collected literature analyzed using software such as Microsoft Excel, CiteSpace 6.3R1, VOSviewer 1.6.20, online platform (https://bibliometric.com). A total 3,004 2,729 institutions 68 countries were included study. increased annually China most prolific country field, 1,468 papers; Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China) institution highest (117 publications).
