While barrier coatings are commonly adopted solution, large-scale complex geometries non-trivial expensive. Furthermore, conventional anti-corrosion thick unfavorable thermal applications. Here, we develop scalable facile dip-and-flow method polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) as thin durable coating. We demonstrate controllable implementation ranging thickness from 300 nm to 23 μm. Corrosion fouling durability demonstrated under acidified seawater spray (ASTM G85-A3 standard) realistic particulate saltwater flow conditions loop. Given its intrinsic hydrophobicity low contact angle hysteresis, 500-nm-thick PDMS-coated substrates exhibit dropwise condensation, demonstrating 50% higher coefficient compared filmwise on uncoated Cu.
