Abstract Intermittent fasting (IF) is an eating pattern that promotes health and cognitive improvement through periodic eating. It has been shown to enhance neuroplasticity reduce oxidative stress inflammation. Recent studies have demonstrated probiotic supplementation enhances performance by modulating gut microbiota composition increasing short‐chain fatty acid production, which in turn neurogenesis synaptic plasticity. The microbiota‐gut‐brain axis (MGBA) the communication bridge between brain, influencing function immune, endocrine, nervous systems. combination of probiotics IF may exert complementary effects on function, with enhancing microbial diversity metabolic efficiency, while further modulate barrier integrity neurotransmitter synthesis. This review critically examines interplay via MGBA, identifying key mechanisms potential therapeutic strategies remain underexplored current research.

The etiology of psychiatric disorders is complex and results from intricate interactions among multiple neurobiological, psychological, environmental, genetic factors. Furthermore, the roles gut microbiome dyshomeostasis in their pathogeneses are just beginning to be uncovered, adding another level complexity. In recent years, significant efforts have been directed toward discovering multimodal yet safe therapeutics counteract psychological deficits. Rosmarinic acid (RA), a polyphenol found several medicinal herbs, has received considerable attention as potential multifaceted therapeutic agent, particularly for neuropsychiatric conditions. order critically evaluate this aspect, data was compiled consolidated after extensive searches on scholarly databases like PubMed, Google Scholar, Web Science. Peer-reviewed publications which focused RA agent were included regardless year publication country origin. Based pre-clinical clinical evidence, review delves into various mechanistic aspects antidepressant, anxiolytic, sleep-promoting functions RA. beneficial effects gut-microbiome-brain (GMB) axis implications regulation neuroprotective pathways also discussed, with particular focus exploiting them ameliorate Our assessment indicated that neuroprotectant against conditions beneficially influences plethora targets related redox, inflammatory, synaptic, cell death, neurotrophic, signaling pathways. As dietary may relevant favorably altering GMB axis, indicating its prospects adjuvant regulating pathogenic mechanisms underlying However, more studies required ascertain neuromodulatory actions neuronal pathophysiologies, including ailments.

Consuming probiotic products is a solution that people are willing to choose augment health. As global health hazard, sleep deprivation (SD) can cause both physical and mental diseases. The present study investigated the protective effects of Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG), widely used probiotic, on SD mouse model. Here, it has been shown induced intestinal damage in mice, while LGG supplementation attenuated disruption barrier enhanced antioxidant capacity. Microbiome analysis revealed caused dysbiosis gut microbiota, characterized by increased levels Clostridium XlVa, Alistipes, Desulfovibrio, as well decreased Ruminococcus, which were partially ameliorated LGG. Moreover, resulted elevated pro-inflammatory cytokine concentrations intestine brain, provided protection organs. significantly improved locomotor activity mice. Although heat-killed showed some its overall efficacy was inferior live In terms mechanism, found AG1478, an inhibitor epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase, could diminish conclusion, demonstrated ability alleviate SD-induced dysfunction through EGFR activation neuroinflammation.

Scope Depression as a global neurological disorder, and hippocampal neuronal apoptosis disorders of the gut microbiota are closely related to it. This study aims expose ameliorative effect enzyme peptides (AP) from brewer's yeast on depressive behavior caused by chronic restraint stress (CRS) in rats. Methods results After 4 weeks AP intervention, significant alleviation sucrose preference test (SPT), forced swim (FST), light‐dark (LDT) is observed depressed ameliorates damage with increased expression key CREB/BDNF/TrkB/Akt signaling pathway, which increases levels monoamine neurotransmitters 5‐hydroxytryptamine (5‐HT) norepinephrine (NE) hippocampus, buffering hyperactivity hypothalamo‐pituitary‐adrenal axis (HPA), decreasing serum cortisol (CORT) adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) In addition, modulates disruption rat (CRS), changes abundance Lactobacillus animalis johnsonii probably for performing antidepressant benefits. A strong correlation found between biochemical markers depression. Conclusion AP, natural safe active substance, has positive treatment
