The nose-brain axis (NBA), a critical component of the body-brain axis, not only serves as drug transport route for treatment brain diseases but also mediates changes such neuroimmune disorders, which may be an important mechanism in occurrence and development some nasal or diseases. Despite its importance, there are substantial gaps that remain our understanding characteristics NBA-mediated cellular molecular mechanisms underlying bidirectional NBA crosstalk. These have limited translational application NBA-related research findings to extent. Therefore, this review aims address conceptual framework highlight values representative by combining existing literature with new results from group. We hope paper will provide basis further in-depth field, facilitate clinical translation NBA.
