Factors influencing constructive conflict management style of nursing interns: a structural equation modeling approach based on the self-determination theory

Improving nursing interns' behavioral patterns toward the constructive conflict management style is critical for promoting effective nurse-patient resolution. However, there a dearth of research on factors that influence styles guided by theoretical principles. To explore relationships among style, career-related social support, emotional intelligence, and communication ability with angry patients using self-determination theory. We conducted cross-sectional study following STROBE guidelines recruited 375 interns from 31 universities at comprehensive teaching hospital in Hunan Province. Data general information, patients, was collected information questionnaire reliable scales. Structural equation modeling used to model test hypothesis. The support had significant immediate impact (β = 0.320, CI: 0.099–0.213). Career-related were mediated intelligence 0.088, 0.010–0.081) 0.098, 0.023–0.078), respectively. In order promote interns, educators managers should emphasize establishment maintenance career systems, use experiential methods such as role playing, virtual reality scenario simulation, peer mentoring.

Amaç: Bu araştırma, eğitimci tarafından verilen sözel geri bildirimin hemşirelik öğrencilerinin algılanan stres, akademik ve klinik öz yeterlilik düzeylerine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yürütüldü.
