Abstract
Depression
is
a
mood
disorder
that
may
increase
risk
for
the
development
of
insulin
resistance
(IR)
and
type
2
diabetes
(T2D),
vice
versa.
However,
mechanistic
pathway
linking
depression
T2D
not
fully
elucidated.
The
aim
this
narrative
review,
therefore,
was
to
discuss
possible
link
between
T2D.

state-of-the-art
review
explores
the
relationship
between
depression
and
diabetes,
highlighting
two-way
influences
that
make
treatment
challenging
worsen
outcomes

both
conditions.

Diabetic

Abstract
The
co-occurrence
of
insulin
resistance
(IR)-related
metabolic
conditions
with
neuropsychiatric
disorders
is
a
complex
public
health
challenge.
Evidence

genetic
links
between
these
phenotypes

little
currently
known
about
genomic
regions
and
biological
functions
that
are
involved.

address

we

Analysis

Association

large-scale
(N=9,725-933,970)
genome-wide
association
studies
(GWASs)
results
for
three
IR-related
(type
2
diabetes
mellitus,
obesity,
syndrome)
nine
disorders.
Subsequently,
positional
expression
quantitative
trait
locus
(eQTL)-based
gene
mapping
downstream
functional
analyses
were
on
significant
loci.
Patterns

Objectives:
Comorbid
diabetes
is
an
important
factor
in
the
treatment
of
major
psychiatric
disorders.
However,
a
substantial
proportion
