During the process of photoaging in skin, Succinylated type I collagen has a significant effect on reversing damage caused by UVB radiation, with regulation cellular ferroptosis being one its important pathophysiological mechanisms. Specifically, reduces expression key cell cycle regulators P16, P21, and P53, as well ferroptosis-related factor Acyl-CoA Synthetase Long Chain Family Member 4 (ACSL4), induced radiation cells tissues. Meanwhile, it increases factors Glutathione Peroxidase (GPX4) Solute Carrier 7 11 (SLC7A11), which inhibit ferroptosis. Additionally, our study also reveals impact levels malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH), reactive oxygen species (ROS) tissues, directly affecting cells' ability to cope oxidative stress. This further suggests that may improve skin through various pathways, including regulating ferroptosis, antioxidation, promoting synthesis, protecting barrier, reducing pigmentation, inhibiting inflammatory responses, contributing maintaining healthy youthful skin.

Cognitive impairment associated with diabetes and Alzheimer's disease has become a major health issue affecting older individuals, morbidity rates growing acutely each year. Ferroptosis is novel form of cell death that triggered by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation. Abstract Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative that affects cognitive abilities in the elderly. Puerarin plays an important role prevention and treatment of AD. It exerts potential therapeutic effects multiple aspects, including regulating expression amyloid β-protein (Aβ), inhibiting abnormal phosphorylation microtubule-associated protein-τ (Tau), scavenging free radicals, resisting oxidation, metal metabolism to maintain cholinergic system stability, improving mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation. However, specific mechanisms by which puerarin protects cortical neurons brain are not fully explored. Hypothetical pathways still require further scientific verification.
